Cloudbusting

“I once read a quote by René Descartes. ‘If I can explain clouds,’ he said, ‘I can explain everything.’ With that in mind, I decided to take up clouds as the object of an investigation, which would presumably lead to my understanding of everything. I decided to start my investigation by making a cloud.” – Karolina Sobecka

KN celebrated its second birthday with a group exhibition, Cloudbusting. Inspired by a cloud machine created by Karolina Sobecka, Cloudbusting investigated clouds as both physical and metaphorical objects through work by artists, musicians, filmmakers, and curators of various disciplines from the KN community.

Cloudbusting included screenings of two new films: “The Maker” by Ben Mauk and “Soundclouds of the Sea” by Jana Nowack.
